When I film children's parties, it would be under the organiser/parent's direction and supervision. I would only film specific sections during the party, such as greeting the guests, the party entertainer, blowing out the candles, singing the happy birthday song, and perhaps a partygame or two. The edited video would last approx 20 minutes and all the filmed footage would belong to the organiser/parent of the event. It is the organiser/parent's responsibility to get the consent from the appropriate adults so that the other partygoers can appear in the video.

With older peoples parties or anniversaries some guests like to leave a filmed message of congratulations. This can be arranged at the party, as it would be the guest's choice. I would ask permission of individuals before filming them.
The edited DVD for older people parties would be approximately 30 mins long the cost includes attending the party, filming, editing and producing a DVD with specially designed cover.
